Applique Shapes

Applique involves the layering of fabrics over a base background fabric or fabrics.  The style of applique that I use most involves covering the edges of the fabric with decorative threads to create an outline. I have a lot of fun creating images using this method.

Basic Images

There are several images that I like to make with many different variations. I can play around with the colors, prints and quilting to get very different moods out of the same basic shape.  Any of these designs can be made into a wallhanging, pillow, tablerunner or handbag.
