These quilted wall hangings are each 16x10" and are a duo portraying the same desert scene in night and day. 
 
I am from Arizona and even though I haven't lived there in years, I still use it as design inspiration. The main techniques I used in this piece are applique and free motion quilting. I chose very different fabrics to get the contrast of day and night. I then layered the fabrics, secured them with satin stitching and quilted some texture into the scenes with thread.
 
Hanging Instructions: A hanging sleeve is sewn on the back. Two options for hanging are included with each piece. Rest the wooden dowel on two nails or hooks for invisible hanging or use just one hook with the cotton twine visible. Remove the dowel if framing or using as a table runner.
