Texas Rivers - 12 x 12” quilted wall hanging. 

I started with a plain piece of muslin and quilted the outline of Texas and the major rivers running through the state in dark blue thread. For the inner background I quilted the outlines of the surrounding states and Mexico in cream thread. I stitched dark blue yarn into a square border and then a wavy spiral free motion design reminiscent of water swirling.
